网上流传的“英语写作绝对有用200句/英语写作必背200句“，。此收集不知源出何处。但不是老师所写，而是把几篇稍为修改过的学生写作内抽出来的句子。其中有些句子存有错误 。更有很多句子写得很 clumsy.

I don’t know who started the widely circulated thread of “英语写作绝对有用200句/英语写作必背200句”, but one thing is for certain, they are not written by a teacher or an English expert. These are sentences taken from several partially corrected student essays. Many of them still have mistakes in them, and some of them are rather clumsily.

这些句子只能适用在考试时，想不出写什么时急用。但是来写好的文章就不适当。这些句子有很多的格式是与英语国家学校英语写作班上所教的背道而驰。

These sentences are useful in an emergency when you cannot think of anything to write during one of those 30 minutes writing exams. But they are definitely not useful for good prose. Indeed, many of them runs contrary to everything that is taught in introductory composition courses in schools, colleges and universities in English speaking countries

有些论坛上贴的“写作经典200句背诵” 有如此惊人之言“这200句是我们写作教学组6年时间提举出来的国外经典文章中的句子，是精华中的精华” 。这 200句内有很多低级错误 (e.g. graduate, not “graduation.”), 那能是”国外经典文章中的句子，是精华中的精华”?

我在雨巷英语园地的”Learning Exchange” 板 (http://www.rainlane.com/list.asp?boardid=11) 上一条条的审查. 错了的修改, 赘冗长的句子间简化或改写。到目前 ( Jan 29, 2006) 为止，审查了七十条.其它的在不久将来再继续发表。贴子连接 http://www.rainlane.com/dispbbs.asp?boardid=11&id=19210

In the “Learning Exchange” board of the Rainlane Treasure Island English Corner, I have begun examining them one by one: finding the mistakes, fixing them and rewriting ones that are too wordy.
