Internet Resources for English Learning and Teaching

1. Introduction
There is no doubt that computers can be useful tools in teaching and learning foreign languages. We can obtain a lot of new information and numerous opportunities for communication for English learning and teaching either by e-mail or on the World Wide Web. In order to let you make good use of these resources. I have collected some of them and sorted out and classified them. I hope they will be useful to English learners and teachers.


2. World Wide Web
2.1 English Learning and Teaching
1) Dave's ESL cafe http://www.eslcafe.com/ It is possibly the single best WWW site for English learning.
2) Digital Education Network http://www.go-ed.com/den/ This allows you to access on-line courses, discussion forums, search facilities, an on-line grammar of English, a grammar clinic, and English practice pages.
3) Kristna Pfaff's Linguistic Funland (1) http://www.linguistic-funland.com/ (2) http://www.tesol.net/tesl.html The first one starts points for linguistics and language learning on the WWW. It will take you to many different sites. The second one is specific to the teaching and learning of English.
4) Center for the Advancement of Language Learning (CALL) http://www.call.gov/resource/language/englr000.htm It is a good place to find resources for learning English.
5) WILD-e http://www.wild-e.org/ An approach to on-line English teaching and learning inspired by Oscar Wilde and Morrissey.
6) The British Council http://www.britcoun.org/ This site will lead you to a lot of links and content that are useful for language and culture learning as well as information about study abroad.
